How to Be Cozy

Looking for a way to stay cozy this November? Here's a method that has never failed me.

1. Choose at least two of these clothing items:
a) sweater
b) fuzzy socks
c) sweat-shirt
d) mocassins
e) slippers

2. Choose a hot drink:
a) tea
b) cocoa
c) cider
d) coffee

3. Choose a or b and combine with c, d, e, or all three:
a) couch//armchair
b) bed
c) comforter
d) fuzzy/furry blanket
e) lots of quilts

4. Choose a book:
a) Anne of Green Gables
b) All Creatures Great and Small
c) The Chronicles of Narnia
d) Insert favorite cozy book

Cozy now? Good. Now all you need is some snowflakes floating past your window. Maybe some cookies too ;)
P.S. Leave your choices and suggestions in the comments :)

  1. 1. a) sweater
    b) fuzzy socks

    2. d)coffee with whipped cream on top :)

    3. b) and c)

    4. a) Anne of green gables

    1. I'm not a coffee person yet, so I'd probably go with cider. And a sweater and moccasins. I can't pick on the books. Too hard =)

  2. okay I really love this post and that picture!!

  3. Ah, you make me feel hot!! I need ways to stay cool this november! :P We're sitting in the air con (already) with fans and short sleeves and...oo, icecream. ;) But I'll keep this in mind come April.

    1. Sorry Cait. April is SPRING. And November is colllld. Australians have it pretty backwards ;) I'm a little jealous of that ice cream though . . .

  4. I love this, and that picture is pretty amazing...
have i mentioned that i sorta miss you?
we need to see each other before next year :P

  5. Love this post! There's nothing better than snuggling up in bed with a cup of hot cocoa and Anne of Green Gables. Coziness is probably my favorite thing about winter♥

  6. Hahaha, this is awesome. Cozy is the best.

  7. Oh poo, no winter here for me. I would have to hike all the way up to Mauna Kea to be able to indulge in all those lovely things you mentioned.

Oh well, I suppose I'll have to content myself with Emily Climbs, which has been sustaining me for a bit, and a smoothie. Don't you feel bad for me? ;)

P.S. A nice old snail mail headed your way soon! (though I rarely use exclamation points, I felt I had to use it on that sentence ;))

Oh yeah, that picture is blooming awesome!

    1. Oooo, I shall have to keep my eye out for that. And no . . . no, I don't feel sorry for you ;)

  8. That room looks amazingly inspiring.

  9. this is so lovely! really, truly.

  10. Sweat-shirt with fuzzy socks and hot tea on the couch. Except I would be writing rather than reading, most likely. Haha <3
Love this post! That picture is awesome, did you take it?

    1. That is awesome! I've always wanted to do a teacup picture where one can actually see the steam pouring off the tea. Amazingness!

  11. Fuzzy socks and hot tea sounds amazing.
And one of my favorite places to curl up on the couch and write is in front of the wood stove. <3 with the socks and tea. It's wonderful.
And that has to be one of the most awesome pictures I have seen on blogger in a long, long time. I can never seem to capture the steam rising off a cup like that... it always comes out looking blurry and poor quality. But I love how it looks like it's moving... almost like a time-lapse photo. beautiful.
    Okay, I'll quit rambling. xD

  12. I love that photo :)

  13. Definetly a sweater, fuzzy socks, and hot cocoa. This was such a good post. I read it this morning (but never got to comment until just now) and all throughout the day I've been wanting to stay cozy. :)

  14. Love these tips!! There are few things greater to snuggling up with a hot drink and a good book.

  15. I love this! It is such a great post idea! all of these would defiantly keep me cozy. :)
